BISP Signs 2 MOUs with UNICEF and WHO
The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) signed two important agreements with UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO) under the Benazir Nashonuma Program here on September 24, 2024. The agreements are aimed at tackling Pakistan’s critical malnutrition crisis, which is among children and mothers in sustainability challenged communities.
The UNICEF SARIA The SARIA is all about Social Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) and provision of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), to cure the Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) and Moderate Acute Malnutrition(MAM). The WHO partnership on the other hand will involve setting up and managing stabilization centers in different locations all over Pakistan, especially at District Headquarter Hospitals where children with SAM can be acutely managed.

Under the Benazir Nashonuma Programme, UNICEF will provide Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) for severely acute malnourished children and support Social Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) activities to promote healthy nutrition practices. Significance of Agreements with BISP

UNICEF Will Leave No Stone Unturned For The Recovery People
