CM of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Shareef launches Honhaar Scholarship Program Here’s how to apply. Following the directive of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab government has begun registration for the “Punjab Honahar Scholarship Program”. The vision was supposed to provide scholarships to 30,000 students annually. In this regard, it promoted higher education by removing financial obstacles for the deserving youth.

Total of 30,000 students will benefit from the program, including 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges, 131 graduate colleges, and top private institutions, LUMS, FAST, COMSATS, NUST, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute, and seven other leading private universities.
The Honahar scholarship program for Punjab will disburse over the next eight years a total amount of PKR 130 and PKR 7 billion in the first year, which will benefit 120,000 students in the following four years. Taking up X, Chief Minister Maryam wrote, “I am thrilled and happy to announce Honahar Scholarship Program, that enables our youth to get quality education with a chance of breaking financial barriers for Deserving and Meritorious students to become the ruler of higher education possibilities. Student should bear any domicile of districts Punjab
In addition, the student must be not older than 22 years as per closing date of scholarship registration process. It should be ensured that the family monthly income of the applicant is less than Rs 300,000 and for this, an affidavit will be required. The applicant must be enrolled in selected disciplines in the selected universities/colleges to get the benefit of the scholarship.
